Been there, done that, bought the commemorative beer stein...
Yeah, you can create PS files. Project will save them as *.prn, but the
driver you choose is really what matters. Distiller doesn't care what
you call it (although it doesn't LOOK for prn files) as long as it's
PostScript. Print your PS in the standard way. If the Project printer
dialog doesn't have an option for printing to file, just change the port
information in the driver properties to print to file, and Windows will
prompt you for a filename midprocess. The resulting PDF looks pretty
good and prints relatively well.
