I don't believe there is a way to do this. I had a chapter in a manual,
recently, that alternated between portrait pages for report descriptions
and landscape pages for report samples.
I spoke with Word support several times and they were positive that it
couldn't be done. In Word, if the page is landscape the headers and footers
are too.
I did try out some ideas of my own. One possibility that I tried was to put
the report sample in Word Art. This could then be rotated 90% so that the
page would actually be portrait but the report sample landscape. However,
it did nasty things with file size and also the print quality of the report
text was considerably degraded, so I scratched that idea.
In the end, I went with landscape headers and footers on the landscape
pages; separate sections for each page. The whole thing was a headache.
It could be done easily in Frame.
