You need to use character entities for the symbols. You can find a list
of them at

http://www.htmlhelp.com/reference/charset/

Registered trademark and copyright are

(R) = &#174;
(C) = &#169;

Trade Mark is easy enough to mimic without a special character tag (and
I don't think one is available anyway).

TM = <SUP>TM</SUP>
