Husband is seeking environmental/healthcare employment

 Gail, one thing that would be well worth his while is to
 check the local universities and colleges to see if they
 have a "department of technology transfer". (Jargon: it
 means taking basic science and putting it into the hands of
 people who can put it to work.) Many universities are
 forming liaisons with industry and need expert
 communicators. Big research hospitals often have comparable
 departments, as do pharmaceutical firms. And since you're
 in the Toronto area, there should be no shortage of
 environmental consulting firms who need good writers.
