My experience with the *previously only clerical* agencies, specifically
Kelly Technical, is that they tend to take assignments where the employer
wants a person who can do *double-duty,* with some writing, and some
administrative assistant-type work.

It can work well for someone who is just going into technical writing, but
it certainly won't do anything for the career of an established writer.
