Has anyone had any experience with generating PDFs of books from Word? Have
you had to create all the bookmarks manually?
Is there a product that can take a Word 7 file and generate the PDF
bookmarks as easily as this can be done with FrameMaker?
If there isn't, what is the best way to set up a Word7 file so the paragraph
tags are imported into FrameMaker from the RTF?
The Word tags come into FrameMaker as "starred" tags, and require a step of
adding each one to the catalog.
I've done some initial experiments and it appears that if the Word paragraph
tag names are identical (including capitalization) to the default
FrameMaker paragraph tags, it might not be necessary to add each tag to the
catalog. but then, even with identical names, FrameMaker may still
distinquish between the imported tag and the default tag because it comes
from another product.
