TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
The 2nd annual Techwhirlers -at- STC dinner in Toronto is now set. If you had
not responded to our earlier announcement, now is the time to do so. Now is
the time we count heads for real.

Place:
The 360 Revolving Restaurant atop the CN Tower in downtown Toronto, about 6
blocks from the Sheraton. This is the world's largest freestanding
structure. The communications tower is almost twice the height of the
Eiffel Tower.
The elevator/lift to the top of the Tower, and access to indoor and outdoor
observation levels, and EcoDek (featuring interactive, multimedia exhibits)
is included in the meal price.Also included is the spectacular view of
Toronto, Lake Ontario, and, when the weather is clear, part of New York
State.
Price:
You order from the menu and bar individually and will be billed separately
in Canadian dollars. Last Friday one Canadian dollar was worth 66 cents
U.S. Using plastic may bring you a slightly better exchange rate. In
Canadian dollars, appetizers range from $8-16, main courses are $19-34 and
desserts $8. Receipts will be issued for those paying in cash. No official
receipt will be issued for those paying with a credit card, except for the
credit card receipt.
