First of all....any chance you'll luck out and work on a Mac, UNIX, OS/2, or
Windows 95 -- so you can have LONG file names? 'Tis a consummation devoutly
to be wish'd.
Second....Consider just numbering the damn things any way that halfway sorta
makes sense....BUT keep a text file -- I usu called mine DOCS_LOG.TXT --
that's a *legend* to correlate those Borg file "names" to actual descriptions
of what the heck they are. This solution proved elegant in a couple
situations where I had to deal with the 8.3 limitation. Of course, somebody
has to be the Keeper of the Log, but it's worth the extra effort.
