Subject:Success! And thanks to those who helped From:"Ivie, Guy" <GuyI -at- CORPMAIL -dot- FOLLETT -dot- COM> Date:Thu, 17 Apr 1997 14:43:00 PDT
To the members of HDK-L, TECHWR-L, and WINHLP-L:
You've been seeing me ask lots of questions about implementing different
aspects of my online help system for an Oracle-based product. (Those of
you on multiple lists have seen some of those questions more than once!)
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who offered
assistance/suggestions, and let you know that the product demo was
unveiled this past weekend at a trade show. It was a thundering success;
the company feels this was the best show they ever did. The first showing
was to a group of existing customers at a pre-show get-together. They
liked it, and talked it up to competitors' customers, who swamped the
booth the next day. The first P.O. was turned in 5 minutes after the
booth opened!
I'm not saying that it was just the help system that sold everyone, but
the show folks did say that the online help "presented very well." People
like the way it works.
So I want to make sure you all know that I appreciate having these groups
to throw questions at when I get stuck. Thanks again.
