Our artist uses CorelDRAW! 5 to create graphics. He exports
most graphics in three formats: .wmf, .gif, and .bmp,
because the graphics are used in printed docs, WinHelp files,
Acrobat PDF files, and HTML files. His question is whether
anyone has any particular sans serif font recommendations
that would look good in the graphics in all four media.
Text in our graphics is usually in 9 point type, if that makes any
difference. Our printed standards call for News Gothic, but
it looks a bit "squished" when viewed in our online docs.
Also, we use Type 1 fonts, because PDF files don't
look good with True Types, but I've heard this changed with
Acrobat Reader 3.0, and it's safe to use True Types if you're
delivering the newer version of the Reader. Is this true?
Any advice would be most appreciated.
