TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
The editors welcome paper proposals for an upcoming issue entitled Writing
Beyond the Disciplines: Technical and Professional Writing for
Undergraduates. Possible topics include the following:
* situating technical/professional writing in the undergraduate curriculum
* rhetorical approaches to technical/professional writing
* internships and placement programs for techinical/professional writing
students
* computers in technical/professional writing courses
* collaboration and technical/professional writing
Proposals for book reviews on the topic of technical/professional writing
are also welcome. The editors are particularly interested in reviews that
address a group of books on the topic. Proposals should follow the
guidelines listed below; final manuscripts will need to be 6-8 pages,
double-spaced.z
Proposals should include a working title and an abstsract of approximately
500 words. Final manuscripts will need to be 12-20 pages, double spaced.

Manuscripts should follow MLA style. Deadline for proposals is April 25,
