THE TECHNICAL COMMUNICATIONS GROUP
The Datastream Technical Communications Group is housed in the
Development Department and currently consists of 9 technical
communicators--writers, editors, on-line help authors, a production
editor, a localization coordinator, and a webmaster. The cumulative
and variant expertise within the group has contributed to the
professional achievement of four state-wide and 1 international STC
Technical Publication Competition awards in 1996 and five state-wide
and 2 international STC Technical Publication Competition awards in
1997.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
ú Degree or advanced degree in technical writing, English, or similar
field
ú Interest in writing software and training documentation
ú Experience with Windows 95 a plus
ú Proficiency in either Microsoft Word for Windows 7.0, Microsoft
Office 97, or FrameMaker 5 a plus
ú Experience with on-line help software, such as RoboHelp, a plus
