Utah State University will begin offering on-line classes toward an MA or MS
in technical communications. The program will focus specifically on working,
professional writers who do not want to leave the workplace to get a master's
degree. Estimated time for completion is 2 or 3 years.

This Summer, the university will offer a help file authoring seminar that will
focus on traditional topics and on the new HTMLhelp poking its head over the
horizon. The class will be co-taught by Marj Hermansen from her Novell office
and by David Hailey at USU.

The price for the class will be between the $300 and $500. Matriculated
students will have first priority, but if the class does not fill,
non-matriculated students will be allowed to take empty spaces.

The entire class will be taught on-line.
