TO RON ROTHBART:

Your MSWORD macros are indeed a virus. It's called the "WORD MACRO VIRUS"
and has been around since last spring.

THIS VIRUS HAS BEEN SPREADING FROM DOWNLOADED FILES OFF THE NET, AND
BETWEEN CORPORTIONS.

To kill said virus, you must open all of your infected files one by one,
then follow these steps:

1. In Word, click on <TOOLS> then <MACROS>.
2. In the MACROS AVAILABLE IN: window, be sure that NORMAL.DOT
is displayed.
3. In the MACRO NAME: window, highlight each of those three
items (AutoOpen, AutoClose, FileSaveAs) then delete them.
4. Close the <MACROS> window, <SAVE> your document, then <CLOSE>
your document.
5. Exit then restart Word.
6. Open all remaining documents that are suspect, including those on
floppies. Continue following the above steps.

That should take care of it, unless there is a new strain. Let us know how
you fared. Good luck.

- Maryann
