OK, i delete alot more messages than i read, i just don't have time to read all the mail that this list generates. Of course, some discussions, such as the punctuation and grammar discussions drag on. However, as i do have a limited amount of time to spend read email, this is the ONLY list i subscribe to. That means i come here for input about dtp products, suggestions for word issues, info to back up my refusal to touch master doc with a 50 ft pole, or even robohelp info to assist my office mate who's doing the help files. Of course, some of this could probably be taken to private email once the initial discussion has started, but i look to the tech writer list for these answers as well as answers about tech writing itself. After all, what tools are we working with 8 [or more] hours a day? And have plenty of experience with, good and bad?
OK, that's my $.02 worth on this topic and i'll shut up now.
