Amen!! That's why repliers should deleted unneeded text lines and use "snip"
to indicate deleted material; e.g.:

Bravo, Eric! I second the motion. I am on several lists (both fun and
--- < SNIP > ---
lead-in to your own comment.

or you could use [ SNIP ] , --- < SNIP > ---, << snip >> , < SNIP > , etc.
