This is a good question - one which I had never considered. I have nothing to back this
up, but I would think that merely including a link would not be a copyright violation,
unless you "stole" from that site a graphic or icon to use as the link back to that
site. You are really helping to advertise and increase traffic for them. To just
mention the name of the corporation/organization/etc. shouldn't be a violation.

If every "webster" had to obtain permission to include simple text links out to other
sites, it would be overwhelming.

Again, that's just my opinion.

And to the others of you who have responded to my original post so far, thank you. I
will be checking out the sites you referred later. I have already sent an e-mail
message to my manager with snippets of your responses.
