Thanks to all who responded (and there were MANY) about my original
question on capitalizing these terms:

> >> the Web or the web
> >> Browser or browser
> >> WWW or www
> >> Web site or web site

The vast majority suggested that we capitalize as: "the Web" and "Web
site" but "browser" (lowercase).

A few people have also asked about the Microsoft Manual of Style.
This book has helped me tremendously with standardizing terms and
served as my "credibility crutch" when I'm trying to convince our
engineers to change a word or phrase. I highly recommend it. I don't
always agree with it, but it's a tool, like one of many.

The Microsoft Manual of Style for Technical Publications, Microsoft
Press, 1995. ISBN #1-55615-939-0

The other style guide I heartily recommend is:

The New York Public Library Writer's Guide to Style and Usage,
Harper Collins, 1994. ISBN #0-06-270064-2

This book covers everything from compound words to desktop publishing
to indexing to .... --- you name it, it's there.

Hope that helps someone.
