In the immortal words of Nathan Hale, "I regret that I have but one * for
my country."

Now, that's being true to one's language!

But, aside from that, I'm unclear about the alleged conflict between
informing one's readers and the sanctity of the language. Would someone
please post a couple of specific examples?
