The comparative virtues ove Word vs. Framemeker have been discussed several
times on this list and others. It usually develops into the same sort of
religious hoo-hah as a comparison of the virtues of competing operating
systems.
I made the switch about 3 years ago, and have never regretted it. Oh, I
still work with Word enough to feel competent with it---some clients insist
on it---but whenever I have a choice, I use Frame.
If I could access my old email archive disk, I'd send you a copy of the
collected discussions. Unfortunately, I still can't find a way to get the
cat hair out of the Syquest cartridge <I am not making this up>. Perhaps
someone else on the list has kept a record of the last Holy War?
