Subject:You, contractions, readability stats From:Chris Hamilton <chamilton -at- GR -dot- COM> Date:Mon, 15 Jul 1996 16:23:17 -0500
I've just started a new job at which one of the people who'll
guide the documentation has an aversion to using "you" and
contractions in technical documentation. I don't and I would
like to convince people on this without getting into a battle of
preferences.
Does anyone know of any statistics that would prove that my way
is better. (And if you have statistics prooving my way isn't
better, I'll concede until I can get the rest of the world to
think about these things correctly.:-))
Thanks.
Chris Hamilton
