Single spacing has NOTHING to do with laziness. The advent of
photocomposition typesetting and now desktop publishing, which primarily
call for fully justified formats and even word spacing throughout the
line, make one space between sentences "correct." It is no more
"correct" to have two spaces over one or one rather than two; however
since internet servers and many word processing software packages ignore
a second space, that ought to tell you something! :-)

Since one space is a "correct" styling convention, I say USE IT!
