R/W Permissions for Word Master Doc

Subject: R/W Permissions for Word Master Doc

Hello All,

Does anyone know how to change the read/write permissions globally on
a master document created using Word 6.0?

It seems that only the creator of the master document and subdocuments
has read/write permission. Others must manually "unlock" the master
document and each subdocument so that they can make edits or reformatting
changes.

Thanks for any assistance.

John
