Hello Technical Communicators

Here is the summary of telephony dictionaries:

1) Telephony's Dictionary, Second Edition
Telephony Publishing Corp.
ISBN 0-917845-04-8

2) Newton's Telecom Dictionary
Flatiron Publishing, Inc.
ISBN 0-936648-60-0

***This must be an earlier edition***
Newton's Telecom Dictionary (Fifth Edition, 1992)
by Harry Newton
ISBN 0-936648-35-X

Telecom Library Inc.
12 west 21 Street
New York, NY 10010
212/691-8215 (voice)
212/691-1191 (fax)

"The official glossary of telecommunications and voice processing terms"
Fifth expanded and updated edition. Contains new definitions on voice
processing, open architecture, the intelligent network, "dumb" switches,
ISDN and imaging.

3) There are a couple of telecomm glossaries on the web you might try, for example:
http://www.hekimian.com.

4) There is a book called just "Telephony" that is the basic bible in the field.
Though it is not comprehensive in that it was written mainly before
electronic stuff.

5) Another book that is great [great glossary if you need a dictionary] is
called Stored Program Controlled <something> where I think the <something> is
Telecommunication or Communication Systems.

Best regards
