If we want to be really technical about this, we should use the complete Yiddish
phrase...
'the gantze mishpoche....' (the whole family-Yiddish) or
'the gantze megilla....' (the whole story-Yiddish)!!
Note also that the pronunciation of the Yiddish word mish-PO-che is
different from the Hebrew word mish-pa-CHAH.
