Colleagues,
Sad to think that John Backus, who led the team that developed Fortran, and
also had a major hand in the formulation of BNF, is so little known today that
his name is confused with Bacchus, who led the team that developed Chateau
Petrus 1947. Even sadder that Peter Naur, who also had a major hand in BNF, is
not even misspelled, but left out altogether in favor of Normal, who has never
done anything noteworthy.
