Melissa,

You need to talk to the techies in your company about a firewall. This
is the means most companies use to restrict access to their information
to employees only. It also allows the administrator to decide who can
get out, and what they can get out to.

Another technique is to use web server software that allows you to
place security on files. This will restrict who can see your stuff, but
not limit where people go on the Web.
