We write in Word 6, import to PageMaker. Writers write and are paid
salary. Layout artists do graphic design and layout and are paid hourly.
I do both and am barely paid (intern wages) The writers have someinput
into the design because we use a team approach, so the layout artists
have some input on writing as well, but, for the most part, writers write
and lay out does design. Personally, I prefer to handle both. :)
