Subject:Re: Does QA Test Your Docs? From:Bonni Graham <bonnig -at- IX -dot- NETCOM -dot- COM> Date:Fri, 29 Mar 1996 15:09:11 -0800
At one of my clients, they're using the tutorial I wrote as a test
case, so in essence, it's getting tested with each new release of the
software. In addition, the hotline technicians are given copies of the
doc to mark up as user questions come in (after the fact, I know, but I
think it's the closest I'm going to get to user testing right now).
Each new tester is given a copy of the manual and told to read it
before running the test cases, and to mark it up as necessary as they
run the test cases.
This is only one client, though. I have another one whom I cannot even
convince to *run* the doc against the software, let alone test it
thoroughly. I'm still working on them, though.
