GETTING UP ON THE WEB
A Demonstration and Hands-On Learning Session

in Reisterstown, Maryland
The Metro Baltimore chapter of the Society for Technical Communication will host
an educational program about Internet applications. Topics covered will include
HTML tagging, net "surfing" using various web browsers and search tools, and how
to post your own web pages. Demonstrations will be provided, and attendees will
have a hands-on opportunity to post their resumes to the Metro Baltimore STC
home page. If you are interested in posting your resume, please bring an ASCII-
text version on a 3.5-inch PC-formatted diskette.
Cost: $7.00, includes dessert and beverages.

The Society for Technical Communication is the world s largest nonprofit
professional organization devoted to the communication of technical information,
with a membership of over 20,000. Members of STC include professionals in

The Metro Baltimore chapter, one of more than 140 chapters worldwide, has over

Informal meetings held throughout the year provide members with access to
pioneering advances in science and technology, career development opportunities,
and a network of communicators with whom they can exchange ideas and
experiences.
