Lise Hansen, quoting from the book "Cyberspace and the
law", notes that e-mail has the same copyright protection
as written correspondence.

One question though: did the authors discriminate between
_private_ e-mail (between two individuals or at least a
list that is known to the author) and _public_ e-mail,
which is anything posted in a public forum? This seems to
me to be a crucial distinction; can you clarify this, Lise?
