The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
I'm working for a mid-size software company in with offices in Milton,
Ontario. The whole idea of "documentation" is relatively new here, but
management is behind our fledgeling "Documentation and Training" department
100%. We've put together a a good team with lots of diverse experience, but
have only just realized that no-one among us has any expertise in the
specialization of indexing technical documents.
So I have two questions:
1. Is there anybody out there in the Toronto/Mississauga/Hamilton/Milton
area who is a specialist at indexing who would be interested in coming to
our office and putting on an indexing workshop//training session for our
staff of five for anywhere between an hour and a half-day?
2. Is there a newsgroup/listserve for indexers where this query would be
better placed?
Thanks
