Virginia L. Krenn <asdxvlk -at- OKWAY -dot- OKSTATE -dot- EDU> asks what
our preferences are for database/data base:
Database. Data base. Hmmmm....
One word when referring to software.
"...the Ozob database scrambling tool..."
Two words when referring to it as an object.
"The militia spokesman asserted that the government maintains
a data base of every known UFO sighting..."
But then, I use "program" for computer and organizational stuff,
and "programme" for things on TV or Radio and the little booklet given out
at the opera.

(Who once worked for both a Db company and an opera company...
...and the latter had fewer primadonnas. :-) )
