I know this has come up before, but I would like to ask again:
Could more of us take the time to snip only the parts of an
original message that are necessary to make our reply
understandable, rather than including an entire original post?

Lately it seems that this list's digest form has expanded
exponentially because people are including posts several
layers deep in replies to replies. We could keep the
bandwidth down, and the cost, and the time this list takes,
with a little more attention to practicing our craft, right? :-)

We are technical communicators trained to pursue
economical writing, so it shouldn't be too hard ;-)
