This points to another question. Just what DOES make a resume stand
out? I've looked at several books purporting to demonstrate what it
takes--but have yet to see anything that seems out of the ordinary that
isn't also rather outlandish. I've worked mine over several times in an
attempt to make it really effective. I'm not sure I've really
succeeded. (I've been told that it looks too formal--that it doesn't
reflect the "real me" and so on. Does anyone have any real good pointers
on how to achieve that magic balance?

And does anyone who writes resumes for others have tips for developing
the kinds of skills it takes?
