Jonathan, assigning $$$ depends on so many factors. Typically, labor rates in
large corporations are determined by the finance department. Some even assign
across-the-board rates for all personnel, regardless of function. If you look
at it from the perspective of a company that offers these services, then the
numbers are different still.
It's difficult, but I'll take a crack at it. Keep this in mind--the actual
numbers are not so important as the relationship between the numbers.
$50 writing
$45 editing
$40 production
$40 conversion between applications
$45 conversion between platforms
$60 translation
$50 graphics artistry
