TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
On November 29 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, the STC will broadcast a panel
discussion on professional certification for STC members. The format of the
program will be similar to "Larry King Live." The panelists will respond to
questions from a program host and debate the issues. They will also respond
to phone-in questions from the viewing audience.
To participate in this event, you need access to a satellite dish. One or
more chapter members might have a dish, or you may find the proper
facilities at a corporation, a university, or a local television station.
Here's the information you need to pick up the satellite signal:
Anik E2C, Transponder 6B
Downlink frequency 3940 Mhz
Audio sub-carriers 6.2 and 6.8
This program promises to be a very lively discussion of an important,
controversial issue. I hope your chapter will find a way to participate.
