I tried Mark's athletic sock idea, but had no luck tying a knot to the rice
(middle OR end).
Does it have to be long grain?
Should I cook it first?

I like Mark's sock idea; I've considered making some kind of bean bag. For
now, I'm using a stack of 4x4 in. handipads that we're supposed to use to
wipe video screens. I have two stacks of about 1-in. each, so I can vary
the
height as needed.
