TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
>Would love to telecommute. Visit the office a couple of times a
>week to catch up on the latest.
>Lot of employers have yet to acknowledge that tech writers are mature
>enough to handle this.

my employer has 12 telecommuters, some at very remote locations.
Several of our Houston employees work at home.
Those of you attending the STC R5Conf in Tulsa can discuss this with
him during the session, "Telecommuting Considerations for Telecommuters
and Their Employers." (Yes, I'm plugging the conference again!)
