DK> I use a 15" NEC MultiSync 3V monitor.
DK> The second one says, "If possible, position the monitor

DK> Does anyone know whether the direction a monitor faces
DK> will affect its performance?
The electron beams within the picture tube are deflected by magnetic fields.
There is one weak field that exist at about every place you can put your
monitor: The earth's magnetic field. It really can deflect the electron beams,
mostly influencing color purity.
NEC is kind enough to say, which direction of electromagnetic field they have
during adjustment of the monitor.
Greetings from Germany
Alexander
