Subject:Re: Importing Word 6.0 file ... From:Michael LaTorra <mikel -at- ACCUGRAPH -dot- COM> Date:Tue, 1 Aug 1995 13:22:22 MDT
Joe Fockler asked:
Q: Is there a list out there that I can seek advice from?
A: Yes. Subscribe to the "framers" list. I have had excellent
results when posting questions to "framers", because the people
who subscribe to that list are knowledgeable, helpful, and quick.
Questions are usually answered (several times) on the same day they
are posted.
To subscribe:
1. E-mail to: Majordomo -at- Math -dot- McGill -dot- CA

That answers the general question about obatining FrameMaker help in
the future. As for your current question:
Q: Does anyone know of a way to import a Word 6.0 file into FrameMaker 4?
A: I have had some success with the following procedure:
1. Save the Word 6 file in RTF format.
2. Open the file in Frame for Windows.
3. Save the file in Frame/Windows, and you can then open it in
Frame/UNIX if you like.
Live long & prosper,
