I believe these definitions apply, though I made no attempt to verify them.

16 bits: Word
32 bits: Dword

Man, I could see this one coming when someone else started defining
words and nibbles. It's the same as saying all six-cylinder engines
use four values per cylinder.

In other words, this all depends on your microprocessor addressing,
operating system, and the mood of the system design the day he wrote
his spec.
