Re: Taxes

There has been quite a discussion on the subject of self-employment and taxes.
I am NOT an attorney nor an
accountant but my husband who is an attorney has a personal corporation.

The corporation does not reduce taxes since the employer (the corporation) has
to match the employee's
contribution. However, it picks up the medical insurance cost and the
individual can write-off certain expenses,
such as travel/entertainment. Those who are self-employed may want to talk to an
attorney or CPA to see if the
personal corporation would be of benefit in their situation.
