Learning Products Engineer for HP OpenView Network and System Management
platform, the common development environment for network and system
management applications used by network element providers, independent
software vendors and telecommunications equipment/service providers.
Particular area of emphasis is OpenView common technology components
which include graphical user interface (GUI), data framework,
installation, licensing, and object oriented development environment.

Main areas of responsibility:
1. Understand concepts and develop working knowledge of OpenView
common technology.
2. Identify customer requirements for usability and learning products.
3. Develop implementation plan for learning product deliverables.
4. Develop hard copy and on-line documentation. Primary audience
is software developers, and to a lesser extent system
5. Evaluate the extent to which learning products meet their
objectives. Identify and lead ways to improve the learning
products.
6. Work with other learning product engineers to develop learning
product strategies and processes within the division.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

Must:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
or 3 years technical job experience; or equivalent combination of
education and experience.
Proven written and verbal communication skills
Flexible, self directed, strong team player.
Experience in programming or software development.

Desired:
Appropriate advanced degree.
Learning products experience.
Knowledge of C and C++, network and systems management, object orientation.
Knowledge of OpenView products, services, and customers.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work within a cross-functional product development team responsible for
the overall success of their own product and technology.
