After reading about Copyright Law in various almanacs and other references,
I keep coming across the term "copyrightable works," which leads me to
conclude that some written works are not subject to the copyright laws.
Yesterday, I made a formal request to the U. S. Copyright Office about
e-mail and retransmitting electronic messages on a list like TECHWR (and
they might even send me a copy of the Copyright Law to read for myself).
I'll re-open this thread when I hear from them.
