TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
I had the following exchange with the postmaster at u.cc.utah.edu:
> What is this, and what's it doing on the tech writer mailing list? ...
The forged posting originated at the Marriott Library Computer Lab,
a lab we have been having trouble with for about a month.
When acting this round of complaints we discovered
that the person was still there... I called over there, and told them
he was the person on mac-82 of their lab, and to hold him for the
police. They let him go without even getting his ID or name.
*sigh*
The police now have a discription, and apparently he is a regular
there, so we may yet catch him.
