WRITER IN THE WORKPLACE CONFERENCE
TO BE HELD MARCH 11, 1995
The eighth annual Writer in the Workplace Conference will be held
Saturday, March 11, 1995, at American River College, Sacramento,
California.
"Blazing New Trails," the theme for this year's conference, will focus
on continual rapid changes occurring in technical communications
environments. The keynote speaker will be Ben Dominitz, president and
founder of Prima Publishing, the world's largest and most respected
publisher of video and game books. Other speakers will address topics
related to clear writing and communication, professional issues and new
technologies. This year's conference will feature software and hardware
displays from a variety of vendors.
The conference is sponsored by the Society for Technical Communication,
(STC) Sacramento Chapter, and American River College. STC members,
students and the general public are invited to attend. The cost to
attend is $65 for STC members and students for registration forms
submitted by February 18, 1995 ( $85 for non-members). The cost for
registrations submitted after February 18, 1995, is $75 for STC members
and students ($95 for non-members).
