Well, my all-time favorite technical writer is Kathleen Meyer. She took
an exceptionally complex subject, wrote very down-to-earth explanations,
excellent how-to instructions, and presented all of the above very
suberbly. I have no idea what she looks like, but her book may give you
some costume ideas.

Her book is called "How to Shit in the Woods," and is the absolute best
piece of technical writing ever, and IMHO should be required reading of all
tech writing students, not to mention everyone who ventures away from
toilets...
