The Consulting and Independent Contracting Professional Interest Committee of
the Society for Technical Communication has over 2000 members.  Membership in
the C&IC PIC is free to STC members.  You must be an STC member to join.

If you are not an STC member and are actively interested in this list, consider

If you are an STC member, contact either Bernie Cohen, the STC main office, or
your local STC chapter.  Several chapters have C&IC affiliated groups with local
meetings and activities.  If your chapter does not have a local affiliate,
consider forming one.  Again, the best contact in Bernie Cohen.

C&IC has activites at each STC Annual Conference and other events throughout the
year.  One of the most notable is the Practical Conference On Communication
(PCOC) in Oak Ridge, TN, each fall.  Contact the Oak Ridge STC chapter for more
information on PCOC.
