I've worked extensively with both Pagemaker and FrameMaker. IMHO,
Pagemaker is more versatile and easier to use than FrameMaker, especially
for things like newsletters. However, if you will be working extensively
with longer documents--manuals, for instance--you might be better off with
FrameMaker because it handles them more efficiently. I suspect that
FrameMaker probably has the edge in technical documentation for that
reason.
